Signing On Night
Signing on night for all membership renewals will be held on Friday 1st April from 7pm at the club. New members are very welcome and all information will be provided on the night.
Those members that have ordered a new shirt will be able to collect them on the night also. Please note that payment for the shirts is now due.
BE Greenkeeper of the Year
The annual Bowls England awards evening took place on Saturday 19th February. We are very pleased to announce that our own Phil Wright has been confirmed as the Greenkeeper of the Year.
This is a fantastic achievement and is thoroughly deserved for all of the hard work and dedication Phil has put in to looking after our green.
Well done Phil, enjoy the moment.
New Club Kit
The new shirt order has now been placed and we will notify people once they have arrived from the supplier (hopefully before the start of the season !).
If you have missed the deadline for this order don't worry. We have ordered a few spares and we can always place another order later in the season if necessary.
At the 'fitting evening' we had some designs for a Sports Jacket and Shorts. We have now finalised the design for these are ready to start taking some orders.
The jackets are lightweight and showerproof and the shorts are the same style as the Bowls England Sports Shorts. Some of you have already expressed an interest but I'd be grateful if you could contact me (Martyn Fearn) again with quantity and sizes if you would like to place an order.
Unfortunately, Aceit Sports have just increased their prices for 2022 so they are slightly higher that I quoted previously.
The Sports jackets are priced at £41 and the Shorts are £30.

Short Mat Bowls
Short Mat Bowls has started again, running on Thursday evening from 6:30pm. Please go along and support this activity when you can even if it is just to have a drink and a catch up with your fellow members.
If the numbers remain low it may not be viable to continue running it which would be a real shame.
